You guys have had it since 28th March.

I've been waiting for it since it was announced...and I still have to wait until October.

I have, however, seen all the FMV's from the start, up to where Roxas goes skateboarding...and man alive! Those are amazing!!! I can't wait to see them in English.

What's the English version of Passion like?

I beat it, it was alright. Lots of mashing the X button like in the last KH, but still worth the time if you liked the last one, if only for the random exploration through Disney areas. Start the game in "Proud" (Hard) mode, because even that was a bit easy, so I can't imagine how Normal would be.

Again, LOTS of X button mashing. With the right skills you don't even have to move around, you just hit the X button and your main character will just jump towards the nearest enemy and slice it to bits, then you keep hitting X until the area is clear. Obviously not all battles are like that, but a large amount of them are. Not too big of a deal, it's just like most Final Fantasy games in that regard.

Overall, after beating it I won't be playing again, but I don't regret buying it.

...Except for Atlantica, as expected - MUSICAL SEQUENCES. As soon as that showed up on the map, I knew I was in for some serious pain. And you can't even do the whole thing at once to get it over with, you have to go to other areas and learn magic to unlock other songs you have to do.

I. Hated. Atlantica.

I'm playing through it again on Proud Mode (I did Normal Mode and nearly wept at how pathetically easy it was :/ The only tough thing on there WAS Sephiroth)

Favorite keyblade was Winnie The Pooh's keyblade. Nothing beats slaughtering things with honeybees and clovers and a happy cartoony 'bop' sound, even if it has 0 attack

I have a savegame before Sephiroth, I'm going to have to go beat him with that, just out of principle...

The graphics should be pretty decent too.

There's thousands of screenshots flying around, videos of gameplay, and the all important cutscene videos. And they look amazing. If only the whole game was a giant FMV like the intro.

----------

Don't forget that because of the Disney element, lots of younger kids will be playing it. For that reason Squenix can't really make a game that needs a degree for you to be able to play it, and actually do well in it.

----------

Blue is out of the RM2K3 forum!!! Hallo!

How long did it take you to beat it? And how fully did you beat it? Everything done, or just enough to keep the storyline progressing?

EDIT: There's something I was meaning to say. I absolutely abhorred Atlantica in KH1. In KH:CoM it wasn't too bad...mainly because you could just run through all the levels without having to bother with all that swimmy crap. The instant I heard KH2 was going to have Atlantica, I choked on my Tea. The moment I read the next few words "in musical form", I nearly killed my cat.

Is it really as bad as I'm imagining it to be?

I'm the only one of everyone in my family who can beat Ursula easily. I hated Agrabah too, though.

Favorite level: Halloween Town.

"Everything done" in the sense that if it involved going to various worlds and killing things I did it (though I still haven't gotten around to killing Sephiroth with the Winnie The Pooh keyblade.)

If it involved terrible minigames like getting a high score on Atlantica's songs or keeping a ball in the air 100 times, then I did not bother

It's not a big deal though, if you finish on Proud mode you get the secret ending regardless of whether or not you completed Jiminy's journal (which you have to complete on Normal in order to get the same ending.)

It's pretty bad, yeah

Favorite level: Pride Lands because of the leveling exploit, though for actual favorite level it would be Timeless River if it were longer

Bah...why did they have to put Atlantica in a game?! Why not something much more fun, like...erm...not Atlantica.

---

Oooh! I've heard some interesting things about the Secret Ending, but no spoilers yet.

In a word, does the Secret Ending give enough reason for KH3?

So... is it a rent or a buy? I'm going to play it, but money will be getting tight soon, so, unless it's got great replay or lots of time invested (like with Oblivion), I'm going to have a hard time justifying a buy.

If you rent it, then I imagine you'll need to keep on re-renting it.

I don't know if Kagom and Blue agree, but everyone says that it's got the content of four games.

And if you do buy it, and don't want to keep it, then you can always sell it on Ebay, or take it back to the shop and trade it for something.

Took me a week to beat it. And my feelings? I'm dissapointed. Did anyone else at all ever think at one point that Sora and Riku were gonna jump eachother and start making out? All Kairi got was an awkward hug, but he broke down sobbing when he found Riku. Odd. Roxas and Axel seemed rather close as well...there was quite a bit of room for slash in the game.

Other than that...I didn't like Cid and Aerith's VO's seeing as Cid sounded like a hick and Aerith sounded like a robot, Atlantica was annoying as all hell, and the first four hours were boring. Graphics were pretty good. Over-all plot was okay, though nothing like the first game. The gummi-level was at the same time cooler and more annoying.

Odd note...to me anyway: The only people you actually see kiss in the game is Ariel and Eric after you've beaten the game.
