Reggie Miller to come out of retirement for the... Celtics!?

Wow. They seriously want him to come play for them. It would be devastating to see Reggie in another uniform besides the Pacers blue and gold, but you know what? That man deserves a title. I say go for it, Reggie. Show the world that you still have what it takes to help a team to go all the way.

He wouldn't have to lead that squad, he'd just come off the bench and shoot the lights out of everyone. He's got that deadly of a shot. He's the best 3-point shooter in the history of the NBA.

I really hope he does this.

I'll have to dispute your claim on the best three-point shooter in NBA history, but it would definitely be cool to see him come out of retirement. I'd like to see if he's still got it.

As being a Pacers fan by blood, i'd rather not see Reggie come out, his time is up, I really think he wouldn't perform like he'd want to, sorta like what Michael Jordan did.. but that'd really be his call, the Celtics would be fine without him probably...

Eh, true, but he's attempted and made the most 3-pointers in NBA history. He holds the record.

D3V, out of curiousity, how are you a Pacers fan by blood? Reggie wouldn't have to abuse his body like he used to. He can come off the bench, put up a couple of clutch 3's and then sit again. Even if he's older, his shot hasn't gone away. That's just something you don't lose. He may get schooled on defense but the Celtics only want his leadership and clutch shooting.

Eh, does this change the fact that the Sixers will still blow chunks? Damn, didn't think so. Good luck Celtics, they're going for the NY Yankees mentality apparently....

Anyone remember when Reggie scored like 9 points in so many seconds? I can't recall exactly, but he had quite a few points in so few seconds.

He had 8 points in 8.9 seconds against the Knicks.

Hit a 3, stole the inbounds pass, ran back to the line and hit another 3. Then got fouled and hit both shots. I remember that well.

My dad was born and raised in Indiana so therefore, by blood, I've been a Hoosier and Pacers fan all my life

Gotta give him props for that, although I think his ears make him look like an alien. How old is he?

A tad old, although I know of some professional soccer players in their late thirties, don't know about early 40's though. Maybe Oliver Kahn is that old.
