I'm excited really, this isn't much of a discussion thread, more-so of a heads-up.

Why are you so excited about this? Just curious..

Let's see, they compete the athletes coming in from college against each other. This is where their 40 yard dash time is recorded, jumping height, long jump, basically their athletic ability is tested, It's just fun to watch to me, and IDK, I guess this could be considered the technical start to the '08 season.

I fully understand what the Combine includes but I just think it isn't that exciting knowing how fast each player can run, benchpress, etc etc.. I don't pay attention until the actual Draft.

Take a look at the NBA version's combine: Kevin Durant (one of the, if not THE, best rookie in the NBA right now) could only benchpress 170 twice or something like that. He was ridiculed out the ass for it but he's eatin' dudes up this year.

Well when your putting up 20 shots a game, your stats might look good too (in case of Durant).

Im excited for it because i hope some decent cb's olb's and s's do crappy and fall back in the draft for the Giants.

D3v, what are the Jags looking for, a big receiver or a te?

They already have a ton of tall WRs/TE. I bet they'll focus on defense.

The Jaguars are going D-line (pass rusher) and from what's being speculated they're wanting to grab another big name wide receiver (something of a chad johnson sort'of deal).. But we'll see. We're having the two TEs that went down during the season return this season, but that's just speculation of course.

They have expressed the need for a pash rusher, that's basically the main priority.

Right, the combine isn't very exciting and doesn't really represent how good a player is going to be. It may tell you how good of an athlete they are, but I'm sure there are track stars out there that would fair damn well in the combine, but get crushed and never survive in the NFL. Still, I do find it interesting to see how fast and strong some of these nigge... I mean college athletes are.

I'm just a fanatic of the NFL and anything going on during the off-season needs to be looked at positively as I possibly can, because we do infact, have a long ass time until the season starts back up.

Yes, I would have. Then again, just seeing the way their organization has reacted since the loss has been classic. Leaving the field early, not sending players to the Pro Bowl, etc.

On another note, i heard the eagles are letting Lito Sheperd to look for a trade out. Big time CB who hasnt been playing well due to injury.
