Remove Inactive Threads

No I don't mean delete all inactive threads. I want the thing where threads get no posts for (90?) days and then go "inactive" where nobody can post in them except for mods and such, unless it is stickeyed, to go away. It's no fun

Why not set your preferences to show threads from the past month only? They'll still all be active to some degree (or at least not expired).

Oh... I read it as getting rid of inactive posts. Not the getting rid of an expiry time.

How so? What exactly is so bad about being able to post in a thread that hasn't had any posts in 90 days?

People post posts that are only marginally relevant to a thread from months ago instead of starting a new thread on the real subject, which is more likely to generate interest and discussion.

Activity is activity, sometimes thread digging can be quite funny.

I agree. Sometimes a new thread would not really make sense, especially if it's in the context of another post.
