A friend of mine decided to buy the PS2 version of FFXI, but he wanted to 'save money', so he bid on one on ebay. After it was said and done, it came to a total of $139 CDN (includes Shipping and handleling). But when it arrived today, he found out that there was a $60+ postage fee.

Funny shit huh. I laughed at him for a few, couldn't resist. Tried to save and spent 50 dollars more.

BTW, he didn't know there would be a Postage fee. If it wasn't for that, he would have saved. It wan't mentioned on the bid page(i looked). So it was one of those things that just happened out of the blue. He hasta shovel out another 60 dollars.

Usually scamming implies a benefit to the scammer. Since I doubt that the alleged "scammer" was some fat chuck in a UPS outfit, I don't think it was a scam.

Well, explain to me how else a game could cost 60 dollars to ship to you. THe seller put a 60 dollar shipping charge. When payment is recieved, the seller will send the item by some 6 dollar one week shipping. The seller just made an addition 54 dollars.

That's strange. I ordered a DDR pad package from RedOctane in California, which was kind of large and cumbersome. I got charged $45 for shipping, but that's nine timezones away. Where did you order your game from, Uzbekistan?
