Symphony of the Night was awesome, but the days of side scrollers are at an end. Side scrollers used to be inventive and interesting because they had to be. No, the reason why they stopped making side scrollers is because average gamers want what looks purty, and 3D to them, looks better than 2D. Nothing more, and nothing less. Everything else you said was bullshit. Metriod would be awesome as a side scroller. The new one for Gamecube is going to rock, it's still going to be fucking sick, but I'm just as happy if not more for Metriod Fusion for Gameboy Advance.
