This also kinda goes beyond in the real world. Granted that the heterosexual community outnumbers the homosexual community by a larger percentage, there's plenty of straight people stereotyping the gay people. You find it wherever you go: internet, movies, TV, radio, etc. Ever watch Will & Grace? They have Jack in the typical limp-wristed, fruity, flaming gay guy. But that's not to say we don't have stereotypes for heterosexuals. But how we actually stereotype them depends on the region they live. Take the South. We stereotype them as incompetant, retarded, backwards, inbred, NASCAR loving hicks. Now, that's not true to a great degree, but it still comes in. Other places we have the sports addicted, alcohol consuming, meat grilling partyman/woman. The problem is, we're a nation who runs on Stereotyping and it really doesn't do us much good (unless done in humor as Dave Chapelle did). The point of all this is that we're not going to get anywhere with stereotyping because it displays ignorance and plain-out idiocy.
