Sitting by and letting your loved one harm oneself without putting your foot down is negligent. I wouldn't sit by and watch my loved one cut herself or some shit, so why would I let her burn holes in her brain with idiotic habits, or develop her own nice little psychosis? To each his own, I suppose, but I don't see how anyone can sit back and watch their loved ones do that without doing their best to stop them.

Funny enough she wasn't. She occasionally got high but didn't like to around me because she felt 'awkward.'

I never understood why so many girls are like that. Seriously, I've had at least 3 girls tell me the same thing. "It'd be too awkward." Umm how? You smoke. I smoke. Let's smoke together? Oh well.

But WKFF is right, if she really does love you and care for you, she'd be trying to help you kick your bad habits, not promoting them in any way, shape, or form. Lord knows you need the help. Find a girl that actually cares for you. Actually, don't even worry about a girl right now. Get your situation under control before you add uneeded stress.

Exactly. A lot of people don't understand that. She could, thereotically, genuinely care for you and be too dumb to know they're bad habits ...in which case you need to kick her to the curb anyways.

Not all drugs are bad.

I would say that Marijuana, along with most hallucinogenics, are not bad in moderation. Hallucinogenics probably do cause some problems with the brain, but in my opinion, what you learn from the experiences are more than worth it.

Using hallucinogenics is mind-opening.

This is true. I've met many people who agree with me that life is distinctly different after you trip.

Native Americans have been using hallucinogenic mushrooms for hundreds of years with no negative side effects.

That's if... you eat the right mushrooms :-P

Hmm, that's alright. I think my mind's open enough. Just because I don't acknowledge other viewpoints sometimes when I say things doesn't mean I don't consider them at all .

I'm not saying by any means that everyone should smoke pot and do other drugs. It's not for everyone. I'm just saying that having someone who at the very least understands that he enjoys such things and makes sure that he doesn't take it too far would be better than someone who's going to try to tell him not to do anything. I ocassionally smoke pot and I've done some hallucinogenics. I experiment with other drugs, as well. I'm not unhealthy in any way because of what I've done and do, and my life hasn't been ruined by any means.

However, I don't disagree that Spector should have someone who cares when he goes too far. That's when drugs become bad. I think a lot of drugs are fine in the hands of responsible users.

I'm not saying it makes you a bad person or anything if you do drugs, but it is irresponsible for anyone to recreationally abuse drugs. Whether or not you agree with them being illegal, they are, and can negatively effect your future. However, the same could be said for a lot of things people do, so oh well .
