And that is why if a council is used. the members must be level headed and not easly ticked off.
to vote on a member it would be wise for each of the council to look thought the last 50 or so.?. post of the member and give a rateing and then the adverage of the rates can be the final judeing the gramar, spelling , and interlectional input of the member each of which is graded and adveradged. I would rate my current post 5 on gramar 4 on spelling and 9 on input = 6 on this post, but of course this would be hard to do for 50 post so it would be an adverage of all the post that figure in the grade.

a way around the problem of bias is to ( when its obvious that a council member dislikes a reg member, to have another un-bias reg member take the spot of the bias council member in that particular vote.

ie x hates y but a b c d dont so the score is 0 7 6 8 6 = 5.4
in which the other coucil members would know that x has a grude on y and would call in an extra member to be the feith vote. which may come out as 7 7 6 8 6 = 6.8

post in the wrt and chat forum should be ignored durring judgeing beacuse members rarely post anything worth while in those areas of zelaron.

does anyone follow me or iam i just thinking it out to much?

Maybe set up a council who will decide what ppl they think are worthy of soa for example. Then they post a thread concerning this member and all other members can vote for or against. But dont make it a poll, instead make it a normal thread where the other members need to have some arguments for their choise, let that be open for 2 days and after that the council wil take all arguments into consideration and form the judgement.

As MasterAC said, there could be some sort of clause in this agreement that says under review of other council members, maybe say by a 3/5 vote, that the council can say another member on the council is not capable of making a clear and educated decision without being guided by their emotions. What I am trying to say, is if there were a council, certain members could be excluded from voting in certain situations. e.g. When determining what category Sovereign falls into, GravitonSurge might have to be taken out of the voting, because he has undeniable said that he hates him.

Ugh.. So many stipulations, questionable content, side bars, and alternate ideas. Heh, if you want, either myself, or someone else, can read all the ideas in this thread and put together a revised proposition.

One which covers the council makeup, a council vote, member vote, Staff exclusion, judging system (Categories, etc. for judging), place for deliberation, what Forums to judge members in (Exclude WRT and Chat?), back-up council ideas (Penny's 3/5 system?), actual rating system in full (SoA, GAHH, BLIS, etc.), how the ratings will be implemented, how often a members posts will get judged, which posts will initially be judged (Last 50 posts, 25 posts?), how a member can lose particular ratings (For the better or worse), etc.

Is there anything else I'm missing? Once the final list of everything needed for discussion is put together, as I have started above, I will start the draft, or others if they want.

Sounds sweet Titus. I think it would be a good idea to do your Admin thing and make the "revised" edition.

Get you admin groove on.

Man, I've never seen Zelaron so involved in something like this before. This has to go off without a hitch, it seems like. One mishap and it's the boot. You guys are precise.

Anyway, that previous paragraph has hidden subliminal messages that state, "Vote me into the council." Muah?

So what you're saying is that we should just enable the reputation system?

Reputation systems suck, and always have. Maybe one forum in the world has a successful system, but that's about it.

Two or more members can easily ruin an entire system over a few days if they feel like it.

Any way the citizens of Zelaron could find out which staff members are for and against this?

Well, the voting was based on preliminary findings, not the revised proposition. If you really want to know, all the Admins (Although WW didn't vote yet) are against this idea's initial draft, which is basically a big, fat, "No" to the idea. This is why I made a revision, to get a better idea of opposition.

Anyway, post and refer to here for the future:

Indeed. It's too bad that WoW killed any chance of me implementing something like this back then or now. Of course, my version requires a not-sucky store hack...
