My school is brainwashing people into mindless, happy drones.

How, you are probably asking. My answer is the three day retreat: Kairos. People who go on Kairos always come back happy, touchy-feely, sweet, and calm. Now, sometimes that just happens and is fine. But when they go for a week looking like they're in a trance and constantly go on about how they love life and you and everything else, you start to wonder "What are these people doing to them?" Now, one thing I found out (not supposed to know) is that the parents write a letter to you and it's about how they're so worried about all the things you do. Now, after a long time (probably enough to brainwash you), you write a letter back. Almost everyone tells the parents everything they've done. Then the catchline everyone says is "You should go to Kairos! It's a life changing event. You...will...enjoy...it." Maybe I am just a paranoid bastard, but this isn't right. These people are acting completely different, as if they aren't who they are. This happens 2-3 times a school year. And every time, it's just weirder. However, after this week's Kairos, I have come to wonder what exactly is happening to make all these people be different. For instance, a person I know who is usually active in class was very quiet and calm today. Nothing could ever make him like that. Though I don't like him and could care less if he was brainwashed, it irked me. And he was nice to me. Creepy. But, I think I will go to the Kairos senior year and report all my findings. But for the meantime, could they really be brainwashing people at my school?
