NGM... stop quoting classic rock songs... it's arousing me. Really. Stop. I don't want to turn gay.

And no one respond to GS's last comment, it will only humor him.

I don't die bcause I want to give liveing a "good" life a chance. If I should become tired of or not attain a good life I shall go on a killing spree and kill myself before I get cought.

Wonder would you guys piss on your pant if someone pointing a gun at your forhead and counting "3, 2, 1 BANG". I would bet 100 dollar so.

Do I fear death? Hell ya. Do I fear pain that come before death? Hell ya.

Why?

Because I am still fucking young, I haven't done anything that I proud of that will make me pass away with no regret.

I've already had 3 near death experiences. First time I nearly drowned, second time I almost sufficated when something was stuck in my throat, 3rth time I fell from 5 meters high landing on my back causing my lungs to collapse and again nearly sufficating. All 3 times I passed out so I dont really remember things well.

After having had those experiences I can say for sure I'm not affraid of dying.

The topic is that even tho many of us claim to not be affraid of death, Why don't we just end it now. I ask you UZG why don't you end it all?

Death is a pretty scary thing to think about, but not one that should be feared, if that makes sense. I mean, the thought of dieing, and never, and I mean ever, coming back is quite scary. Just think how long 15 years takes. Now, think about 150 years, now 1,500 years, until infinite, which is how long you will cease to exist.. That just doesn't sit right with me.

I don't walk the Earth with a fear that I might die, but when that time comes, which will hopefully be much later than sooner, I can only hope my life had meaning and I am at least happy. If not, then I'm sure fear will over come me.

So, to answer the question, I don't fear death, but the thought doesn't exactly appeal to me either.

I fear dieing becuause I don't know whats in the future after death. Is everything over? No more life, no more thoughts, pictures, events, nothing. It's just dark, you have nothing anymore , no soul, no haeven, your existance is gone, and nothing. It's a scary thought, what if there is nothing greater after death.

As you guys may have figured out by now, I am pretty religious in my beliefs and what-not. So the main thing i fear is hell, and man i fear it with every nerve in my body. Even if you don't believe in the bible, you still fear hell. It's a place that no-one can describe how evil it is, eternal suffering, thinking you're in heaven, wishing to die, but death won't come. I too fear death... right now, I suppose when I'm older I will understand that when it happens, it happens, but I've only lived a little bit of my life, and so far, it's been kick-ass. And worse than dying, i fear dying alone, with no friends or family
Hell is fucking scary. You'll suffer and you'll want to die, but you can't because your already dead. You want to get out of your horrible dream, but you can't. You'll suffer for the rest of your soul life.

And why not? If you take it from the scientific point, you don't have any thoughts anyways... you just aren't there... not existing shouldn't really be a negative should it? If you dont take a scientific belief about death, then why would you fear death at all?

This question poses yet another question, what is the purpose of life, or are we merely an accident of some big bang?

Exactly my point Penny. Not existing whatsoever for all eternity sucks. I have thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc. right now. With the amount of length I have those attributes, non-existence will last an infinite amount longer. That blows. Our breif life is like 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000001% (Billions upon billions more zeros) of non existence

If there's one thing I've always said about life it's this:

Don't take life too seriously, you never get out alive.

Anyway, death. I'm one of the few people who hasn't had anyone....close to me die yet. I wouldn't really know. I've always thought about other people dying as just going away, and you not seeing them again. Ever. But death, it really depends on your views. If you believe in the afterlife, or in becoming a ghost afterwards, or even reincarnation, then you wouldn't give a monkey's about death. Take the Egyptians. They believed a person goes to the afterlife after life, and they live again. Or take the Nac Mac Feegle (read "The Wee Free Men" and "Hat Full of Sky" by Terry Pratchett), they believed that the world they were in was the afterlife, and that when someone dies in the afterlife, they go back to real life to live again, and see all of their dead friends from the afterlife.

Me? If it comes, it comes. Embrace it like you would embrace a loved one. Be scared of it, and you will end up being like that all your life - always scared that it is round the corner, waiting for you. You will end up living life afraid of doing things. Embrace it, and you can do anything and not be scared of dying.

I didn't say it was my quote. I just say something I always say about life is: ________ I didn't say something I always say that is my own material, did I? Anyway, I might like the phrase and try to speak it into my daily conversation. Like the word moot, another thing you might say is out of something.
