No...

Why must you always try to be a smartass?

The eruptions of Yellowstone happen in 600,000 year intervals on average. The last time it happened was 640,000 years ago. So it looks like it may not be that far into the future. Also, notice how I stated, in the future. How am I supposed to know what happens in 100 years. For all you know they could invent a volcano stopper in the year 2154.

Besides, when the explosion happens, they estimate it will have 2,500 times the power of mt saint helens. So if poking it with a fork is the only option, id take it over raining firery death.

Kthx.

You know, if there were some way to harness this as a weapon of mass destruction to rain "firey death" on other countries, then that would be super kickass.

No. In the core, a military experiment caused the earths core to stop spinning, and they had to send a team down their to detonate nuclear weapons to help it start up again.... It wasn't a shitty movie but it was no where near a good one either.

Wow, I was actually more or less right with my 30 thou years overdue figure. Go Lenny.

Last time Yellowstone erupted, ash etc. spread over a thousand miles, I think.

Will have to find the figures again.
