No, not really. I wanted everyone to add flavor to it. It wasn't just my story. It is all of ours. It is for the players. The story wasn't really what I cared about. I am a programmer at heart. I just said I was a writer so I could know how to script it. But the story has expanded beyond me. So all I can offer is the engine which I call the "Adon Engine"(stupid huh?), and my advice on what gamers want to play(whoopee).

I might still Director all over it. But I doubt it. All you need to do to make the engine work properly is use the predesigned event starters. Like the one that makes the HUD display or disappear. Or the battle start. But that is in the CBS(custom battle system to Newbies) version. Which mine is Non-CBS.

ANOTHER ATTENTION: If the future programmer needs a CBS tell me NOW! I am about to finish the Non-CBS version so I need to know now!

But to all who need to know, Lenny is the Project leader from now on. I shall not return as a leader but as a fellow advocate to your game.

Is there anything we can do to get you back?? For one, this is your idea, I for one would like you to see it blossom and turn into something you can be proud of, and also we need you to do the things you have your name down for...writer (turning my thing into a script that can be made into a game), map designer (so far you seem to be the only one with ideas for maps. Heck, it may be taking place on some crazy world I've dreamt up, but I haven't the faintest idea of landscape etc.), and everything else that you've done - such as create this engine for us.

If there is absolutely no getting you back...then can you be a beta-tester for us??? Please?? It would be great to have someone who actually worked on the game to try out the finished product...and then you can still be part of the team, and give us ideas and ways to make it better etc. once you've tested it...make it more like your ideas...

Lenny you are now the team leader, which means YOU have to find the people that we need. It is no longer ME. I shall remain as a Director, programmer and as a map designer. Maybe a beta-tester. But the responsibility is now yours, Lenny, so get to crackin'. I can't get online as often as before, but I still will contact everyone once every other day, most likely.

And for my other jobs. I need to know what to do. You are the leader so tell me what to do. I can code the intro(from your story), Design the maps for it, and Direct it(give characters emotions and stuff...).

Just give me a story.

I like the names, like the idea about playing as the gaurd and I think we shouldn't play out the game as one character, but as several. Like Lenny's idea about play as a guard at one point. You can help him, or you can't. Either way Raphael ends up in the castle room resting.

The game should play out as several characters during cutscenes. But you can play them. Very open ended... Damm, now I wish I was still the leader.

Edit: I read the part about Raphael being a mage... hmmm... I've never heard of the main character as a mage. But, its a good idea. But also, why don't we make a job system, sort of. Like (FF5?) and FFX-2 where you put on different clothes and you have different abilities.

If you like this idea'o'mine, then tell me and give me a list of things to add to our game like, for ex.

Raphael(Mage) abilities:
LV1: Fire, Water, Lightning, Ice
LV2: etc...

Raphael(Lancer) abilities:
LV1: Joust
LV2: Lance Spin
LV3: etc...

This way we could make it alot easier with the menu. For ex. If you equip Raphael with a Lance and he is LV4 with the Lance outfit, than a certain lance is equipped to him. He can now do certain abilities and has certain skills.

Man... this is cool... I HAVE FOUND INSPIRATION AGAIN!

The engine is going good. If there are no problems I might have it up by Monday. Maybe. But if not I will have it up by next saturday.

The first version I am making isn't the one used in the game. It has no custom menu do to an error on my part.

I'm thinking of splitting the writers positions into scripting positions etc...a little reshuffle if you like...

You're still director, so you've gotta give it the go ahead first...

Another thread bump......and a double post but...ah well...

Wed, how does the new positions table thingy look???

Also, what happens when we have finished this game?? Do we disband and go about our own things again? Or do we make another??

I've got an idea for another game. Another one set in the Worlds of Muldrum...Aluirian gets a feature in it...what it is, a group of people travel the seven worlds of Muldrum looking for the hearts of the worlds to link them back up and allow people to travel bewteen them again. It's an idea of mine that they appear in the different books I'm writing...which includes Power Pernicious - the group stumbles upon Raph. and Cecily in one bit...

The book part I'm writing is called The Power of Seven...if that helps...

These are my comments so far ill have the battle stuff by wednesday the charater stuff im waitin on wed-g so we can talk about it...
Ehm a few of your jobs are the same and some are left out
Backdrop Designer
Battle Set Designer (I think thats me though not sure since you asked me to make the battle sets for the atks you made)
Battle Animation Designer/Programmer (person who will implement and design the actual atks in the game)
Weapon Designer
Tileset Designer
Panaroma Designer
Those are left out....
Ehm the Writer and the director need to work hand and hand with the cutscene person (so you and wed are automatically assigned those jobs... thats about it
Also we need to dicuss Mini Games/Subquests
And thats about it

Subquest and mini games can be fun, but we need to be as original as possible.

Example: You can pay to learn to play the piano. After a while you can play it on your own and find music sheets with songs you can play. After you are good enough(high enouh skill level), you can play in bars and such for money.

Stuff like that, but it would have to make sense in our game.
