I find that a .45, especially the 1911, is the most comfortable to shoot and is still quite powerful without feeling intimidating to fire.

It actually doesn't kick too bad. I'm not much of a shot, though, because it's not really a hobby of mine. I just have it really because it was my dad's, and I didn't want to sell it.

Right on, I've heard the longer barrels are better to shoot..

RS, yea it's a funny story accually..

I was renting random handguns at the range for some time before I decided to buy the 1911, it was definitly the most comfortable for me by far, even compared to all the smaller .40cals

I shot the compact glocks, full size berettas, and many others before I decided the 1911 was the best for me, then a week after I ordered it I took a look at my airsoft gun.. which I have shot a million or two times.. It's the same size and shape as the 1911, go figure...

Here's some proper pictures.

I'll be taking it and my SKS to my familys farm in North Carolina when my buddy gets his H&K USP.45 out of layaway in about the middle of October, I'll have plenty of 'destruction photos' for your eyes.

And now: Taking requests on things to shoot. If I can I'll shoot it and take pictures.

If you have something of yours you want shot full of bullet holes PM me and we might be able to work something out.

You could always do a watermelon, but it'd be similar to the pumpkin I think.

How about something made out of thick metal? Like a shovel. *dodge*

Might I suggest taping a picture of Zagggon or someone to the computer case or pumpkins for added effect?

Try to shoot an old vehicle tire(inflated). If at all possible, shoot some glass like an old window or vehicle windshield.

Windshield is a great idea, I have some hollow point rounds that "cut through windshields" without expanding.. But that's gonna be too tough to come by, not to mention these things gotta be transported.
