Not really.

The two have been together for about 6 months. Young love. They were each others worlds. Most of their spare time was spent with each other.

You'd be extremely angry if your gf tried to get off with loads of boys behind your back, no matter if she's drunk or not.

I don't think there's a difference between "young love" and "love." It's a matter of the maturity of the people.

I say "young love" because they're both 15.

It's very unlikely that it is, or was, going to progress to the stage when marriage is in the picture. That'll be "love".

Thing is though, I think the girl was getting kinda annoyed by the guy anyway. She's not much of one for druggies and people who get drunk at every party and try to get with other girls, whether she's there or not.

I shouldn't be feeling happy at the news of the breakup, but I can't help it. He was such a dick, and she deserves far better.

I don't think you understand exactly what he's saying Lenny. For once I agree with GravritronSurgre. Kids and teenagers who say they are in love have just as strong of feeling as adults who say they are in love. The reason it's usually considered young love, is because teenagers change a lot in adolescence, and their views tend to change. Usually once you are older than twenty or twenty-five, you seem to have settled down in your thoughts and beliefs, and are more accepting to have a life partner as well. Some people, if you haven't noticed, still don't change at that age. Some people remarry and divorce, because they remain undecided throughout any indeterminate amount of their life, possibly during their whole life.

Right. For example: teachers of high school classes nowadays are being instructed to be considerate of couples who have recently broken up, because it has the same emotional impact on teenagers as divorced couples.

I can assure you that my friends who say they are in love do not have just as strong of feelings for each other as me and my girlfriend do for each other. The longest couple we know of other than us is 1 1/2 years and they are no longer together. I have many friends who say they are in love one week and the next are with another person. It definately isn't the same.

Those people don't know what they want and are still emotionally immature, or just stupid. There are adults who are exactly the same.

Were you dropped on your head repeatedly, or are you just stupid... or both? Of course there are people who are together for other reasons than love. I also realize there are couples who just want to have a boyfriend or girlfriend because it just seems natural. On the same token, there are married couples who are the same way. They of course always "love" one another. They all say they love because it wouldn't seem right any other way, but there are probably underlying reasons for their relationship, which is a completely seperate discussion altogether. However, just like married couples who's love runs deeper than simply saying the word, there are also young couples who love each other just as much.

One thing I do believe, is that the longer you are with someone you love, the stronger that feeling becomes. For a couple that loves one another and has been married for only a year, I don't believe they are as close as a couple who loves one another and has been married for ten years with children. That's also a different argument from trying to prove that a teenage couple can love one another as much as an adult couple.

Neither. If you want to be an ass then feel free to take it to the flame forum.

My point is, just because two teenagers say they love each other doesn't MEAN that they love each other. What you said is that if I have two friends who say they love each other, they love each other just as much as my parents love each other.

"Kids and teenagers who say they are in love have just as strong of feeling as adults who say they are in love."

I agree with the first point. The second one is equally valid. I won't reiterate what I just posted, for the the sake of simplification, let me break it down for you.

1. A man and a woman can truly love one another regardless of age
2. Not everyone who says "I love you" really does, that's a fact of life.
3. The more time you spend with someone, the closer you become.

If you think I was acting like an ass in my previous post, you may want to go to the doctor and have them check you gender. Don't leave yourself so open to insult, and don't cry like a bitch when it happens.

I've gotta sleep now, it's getting late and there's an M16 range in the morning. Tomorrow, when you're no longer high, reread through this thread and try to make better sense of it.

I made perfect sense of it you moron. YOUR POST says "Kids and teenagers who say they are in love have just as strong of feeling as adults who say they are in love." Just because you didn't say what you meant and I thought you meant something else doesn't mean I was leaving myself open to insult.
