Well if you don't believe that Microsoft has all the money the news and media says they have, think again...

"At the X02 European press event today in Spain, Microsoft confirmed that it has bought UK developer Rare. Microsoft's Ed Fries acknowledged that there have been many rumors alleging the company was planning to buy publishers ranging from Sega to Infogrames. In the case of Rare, the rumors were true, as a Nintendo source revealed last week. In a related statement, Microsoft announced that Rare was purchased for $375 million. No doubt to justify that price, Fries pointed out that $1 billion worth of Rare's games have been sold in the last five years.
There were some specifics on which of Rare's games and established franchises will come to the Xbox. The first Rare game for the Xbox will be Kameo, which was previously announced for the GameCube. The third-person action game stars a girl named Kameo who is gifted with the ability to capture wild beasts and then transform into them in battle. Microsoft showed some new Xbox footage of Kameo at X02, and it certainly looks like it will be a colorful and fast-paced action game.

Kameo is scheduled for a spring 2003 release. Microsoft also announced that Rare is working on a sequel to the Nintendo 64 shooter Perfect Dark. Rare expects to develop at least five Xbox games over the next two years in a variety of genres, including racing, shooters, and platformers."

Things are looking bad for Nintendo. Even Perfect Dark is going to be an X Box exclusive. Either way I'm a Sony fan boy. So I could care less.
