Square-Enix is psyched beyond expectations for the new 3G series of phones -- the doubled-up company has already announced plans for revivals of both of its major role-playing game legends, plus surprised even wireless fanatics with the news that a Final Fantasy VII prequel is being developed exclusively for mobile phones. Apparently, this is just the start of things from the RPG masters.
Well, I was never a giant FF7 nerd in the first place, so this doesn't really bother me all that much. I'd be much more irritated if Square released an FF9 prequel exclusively on cell phones.
Either way, I still think it's pretty lame that they're making an FF7 prequel exclusive to cell phones. That just screams "crappy idea" to me.
