All of the company's emails for the past 6 months have been leaked. They pretty much have no secrets anymore.

Can they get in trouble for releasing decoy files that "tie up" a users computer?

No. A decoy file is just a waste of space. It doesn't do anything malicious at it's destination, bandwidth is simply wasted downloading the wrong thing.

WW, can they get in trouble for breaking licenses with AVG free home edition, etc? They were using it for commercial purposes when it was not allowed =D.

Long story short: Anti-piracy company spoofing illegal downloads and recording IPs, while using pirated corporate software.
