50$ for the start up kit, which includes a microphone.
50$ a year for every year after that.
49.99 for starter kit includes microphone, setup disc/w demos, and one year free subscription
only catch is you have too pay 50$ to get the next year b4 you are available for this year free
JonnyTAE, from what I've learned off xbox live's site-it will automatically renew the subscription unless you cancel it. So technically it's only $50 for the startup kit, and plus they still don't know what the price is after that. I mean heck ifI'm giong to pay anthoer $50, I might as well buy another starter kit with the headset.
Many people have thought about the same thing but what microsoft said to counter act this, they will raise the price of a start up kit too match the yearly fee they'll charge. The thing that got me with the fifty dollars in advance is having too register you're credit card upfront before you even get the damn thing going but you're right it could be more next year but I doubt it beens so many people aren't willing too pay more then $50.
What i like about xbox live is it tells u what other ppl like. (eg. favorite levels, games) so u can play online on ur fav. level with someone who also likes the level.
Nice. So, TAE, are you saying that in order to get the 49.99 startup kit, then you have to spend the $100 right off the bat to get 2 years? Is that the only deal you can get, or is it also accessable monthly?
ok so this is how it goes you need too pay 49.99 for XBL but when you pop it in don't assume like me that you could just install it then play. You need too register a credit card for use next year (why? they make you do it now I have no clue) But if you want too cancel this before next year you have too follow quite a few steps and if the next time period has already begun there is no repromise for what you already paid even if it is the day after. But in short it will only cost you 49.99 for this year and what it costs next year is still in debate by microsoft.

Umm I don't get exactly what you mean by this, You do have a friends list that you can look at anytime but I never seen it say ne thing about my favorite lvl or games...
