a study was done by Janis Ian (a musical artist). large corporations such as aol time warner/disney..work like this: when they see a new technology such as "filesharing" they first want to DESTROY IT because it supposedly conflicts with their profit margin..and when they can't destroy it..they go and OWN IT so they can control it for their own uses and sell 99c songs...just look at what apple did w/ itunes..or realnetworks w/ their media service..or even napster..absorption of new technology after destruction of it has failed
