Who the hell cares? Of course it's not "sex", that term is reserved for sexual intercourse. It is a sexual act though, and engaging in it means a loss of virginity. Losing your virginity doesn't mean vaginal penetration, it means breaking the "seal of purity" on your sexual history. Once you've engaged in any form of sexual act, you are no longer a virgin. That's all there is to it.
It's like opening a bottle of Snapple. You may not drink the whole damn thing, but the bottle has still been opened, and as such, it's purity has been compromised.
So if a girl gives you a hand-job like I said before, its sexual, so you lose your virginity? No, same with oral sex.
Your analogy would work if your saying, if you start to have sex, but don't finished you still lose your viginity. You used 1 thing in your analogy, the one drink, and you are refering it to 2 things, sex, and oral.
His analogy likens the bottle to virginity and the drinking of it to sex.
I don't see it the same way, however.
If I have a bottle of Snapple, and I rub it with my hand, it is still a closed. The only way to make it an open bottle is to... open it. Bah.
I would say that your opinion on this is based upon your idea of what virginity is, but in all actuality, it's the other way around. Your definition of virginity is based upon what you believe will and won't take it away. Dictionary.com says that virginity can be lost by coitus or other genital contact. That's obviously what Raziel believes. It's apparant that many others who posted before him believe otherwise.
My personal view is that the only thing that inovkes a loss of virginity is coitus.
