They reloaded data from an earlier back-up. Basically, they likely rolled it back somehting like 6 hours, so anything that happened after that would be like it never happened.

If they were even remotely intelligent, they likely were running proxies and whatnot...

Also, the whole realm rolled back, so it was as if it never happened.
