As for the pentagon, maybe they blew it up because they heard about the attack and decided that it'd be better to be destroyed by their own hands rather than some stupid kamikaze fucktard?
No. It's not. That much stupidity is impossible. Even if the entire US government had the intellect of 'Lil Bow Wow', that never would have been a possibility.
It may be stupid, but it could happen. Think about it: a man is fighting another man, he will be killed soon, he knows it, but to cheat the other man of his victory, the man kills himself. That way, despite actually having to die, he made sure he snubbed the man of his victory and claim to saying "I killed him"
Because the attack on the World Trade Center would just scream that they were coming for the Pentagon next. The wouldn't destroy the white house or capitol, but they would certainly pick the Pentagon at random and blow the hell out of it. They would cost themselves billions of dollars off of a hunch. They wouldn't even warn the people that work at the Pentagon, they would simply blow it up without regard to human life. Think about it for a second. It makes no sense.
