The Hunter class' Pets are broken, and shitty right now, so they're not quite as good currently as they will be. Personally, I liked my Tauren Hunter a lot. My Undead Rogue wasn't half bad either.

Dumb question, but can you pick a character like a hunter and also be a woodsman? The WoW website wasn't really clear, atleast to me.

They're changing the system to "Professions" but yes you can have two (or three?) of any tradeskill you want.

It's currently limited to 2 Professions, then there are little ones that anyone can pick up, like First Aid (I'm pretty sure).

But things like Leatherworking/Blacksmithing are Professions (as are Skinning and Mining), so you'll need to choose wisely.
