Hey! We hold the Land Speed Record! Suck on that!

You guys ripped it from us during the 60s, but since 97 we've held it! Muahahahahaha!

Take that Art Arfson and Craig Breedlelove! 748mph! First car to break the sound barrier!

Beat that and I'll give you a whole Crumpet to squabble over!

Powered by two Rolls Royce Jet Engines, each delivering over 50,000lbs of thrust.

Coincidentally the car was called Thrust.

And all the American cars between 1960-66 had Jet engines. ONe even had little bombs that exploded and thrust the car forward.

Craig Breedlelove - Spirit of America, Spirit of America II
Art Arfson - The Green Machine
Walter Arfson - some weird name or other.

I watched a program last night after Top Gear about it. Beated learning my German.

He he, in Top Gear, two adrenaline junkies climbed a 1000foot cliff in 1hour 57 min (a 6 hour route) whilst he travelled 60 miles in the new Audi (2 hours 6 minutes). He then raced them back to the start line. He took another 2 hours. They just jumped - 20 seconds.
