I was hoping I wouldn't have to intervene, BUT I AM NEEDED HERE
Okay, I have no idea why you guys are having problems, but here's some things to check:
- You might have a different version of the RTP. I remember there being a few versions of it with differently translated filenames (one for each translation of the engine itself), so things will not match up if you're using a different version.
- YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE RPG_RT.exe. Just create a new project (or open an existing one's folder) and copy/paste the RPG_RT.exe from there. (sciencekid, that file is named incorrectly so it wouldn't help you at all)
- You probably should be using the latest RPGMaker version (I'm using 1.08, which is the latest English version I can find.) If you patch, make sure to follow the usual patch instructions of "make a new project and copy the new RPG_RT from there into all of your existing project files"
If you need any of the files involved (RPG Advocate's RTP, or the program, or even the help file), I'll host them for you. PM me for them.
(Also the beginning credits are just LONG. And typing all this before work means I can't play much past the "magic old guy" intro part)
