Game name is Eternal Essence

the main theme of the story is two opposing elements, peace and chaos.
i dont want to give too much away, but basically you take Varrus through a journey and he happens to save the world (Suprised? lol) but yeah I've got some kewl things going on i'm sure people wil enjoy

Thats a great name i wouldnt change it coz u cant really trust me with names lol i think by best name for a game i made was digital crises and lol the story was kinda lame it was about 3 ppl who get stuck in a virtual reality game and they have to beat it to get back to reality i never did finish that game lol i got bored now i just work with others and help them create there games lol

yea i know that feeling ive never actually finished a project. this is about the 4th version of Eternal Essence lol. i like the name so its just stuck. as with stories, well they just come to me as i'm writing. its just a matter of keep going over it to get it good. some of my character/place names have stuck to. Like Lucia has always been the name of a Kingdom. Legan (character) has always been around. Kalia was from a previous project where she was a twin with Salia, which was taken from Zelda OoT.

But anyway I have a good feeling bout this game, and with other peoples help im sure it will follow through because before i was on my own but now other people have helped and will probably expect something so i want to deliver good!

there are seven playable characters in my game at the moment. i dont feel the need for any more, but as a continously rewrite story another character or two may well pop up.

i worked on the storyline again this morning, i now have a lizardmen race in my game, which also gives me the chance to Characterize Legan earlier and give him a good reason to stay in the party.

I've also gone to work on the intro and i have the idea for what material the first demo will contain.
do you think i should start a new topic labelled eternal essence?

Sorry for the list. I've thought about an art-style for your sprites etc. No need to worry about them not fitting in with other's work, I will pixel whatever you need. I'll work on a demo sprite shortly...

Lizard men? I do hope there is some discrimination involved, I love stories with themes of racism.

Psycho, man, Some of those sprites look frankensprited, or like 2k3 with extras dubbed on. Think 3d, the tip I have for ya. Also shade and make a pattern if you make your own sprites, it keeps them the same.

it might spoil it for you, but if you like i could send you the story in brief (which is all i have at the moment, because i still want to add and change things).

im looking foward to seeing sprites from you.

one change i might be making is about the swiftswords, i was thinking of making it a mercenary organisation, therefore eleminating the need to the suits they wear.

so far in the organisation is Varrus and Aurus, the captain and his two guards, some trainers and another rival type character. of course there are more people but they are just regulars.

I spent 10 minutes on this... Tell me what you think. Do you want realistic or cartoony sprites? This one's in between... Think LoZ:WW opposed to LoZ:OoT, which one suites the story better? If there's a funny sequence in the game, you could always switch from serious to chibi. FMA does it well.

erm it looks ok i guess, considering it a plain body lol. erm i think realistic would be better. just like the style that xp defaults are.
