Random game-making question for you all (didn't feel like starting a new topic):

Is it okay to use Final Fantasy 6 monster sets in an Rm2k3 game? Just curious, because I've seen it done before, but wasn't sure everyone's reaction towards it.

I don't see the problem with it.

Maybe if you put something about the monster sets being from FF6 in the credits, people won't mind.

No 2k3 users are giant sticklers for rips. The program itself is questionable.

Credits are always the safest way to go.

Bah... they would be.

It's a shame, then, that not all RM2K3 users can sprite well.

RM2k3 Graphics are more eye-pleasing than XP Sets.

Look.

XP:

2k3:

2k3 graphics are more compact and easy on the eyes. It's mainly the legalistic spriters who don't to 2k3.

I couldn't care less, but XP has a wider audience. Mixing them isn't a bad idea either.

I can remember when I went on a little cannibalising spree a couple of years ago - tried to rip all the RMXP graphics I could get my hands on, and put them into RM2K3 chipsets.

I gave up after about 3.

I have to say, I prefer the RMXP graphics, and they way you can put them into the game, but I prefer RM2K3 as a building engine.
