Women are just as jealous and suspicious of men with female friends, it's the jealous nature of the beast.

Slightly off topic, but I hope you mention to hopeful guys that you're involved if they go to buy you a drink. Women who are involved and go to the bar to sponge drinks off the hopeful single guys rank only slightly better than outright thieves in my book.
