A person with an interest in history and the sort. I used to be Catholic, so this just adds more to my interest.

A scholarly person? I find it interesting, and I'm a devout non-Christian.

If you don't find it interesting, don't post degrading it please.

I think its rather fascinating. I am a Catholic and so, as kagom said, it adds more to my interest. I've always wondered about the knights templar.

Don't pay attention to what Kaneda said about it. He doesn't represent a cross-section of the forum base.

The knights templar were a very high religious order with much prestige. I had the pleasure of visiting their main temple while I was in London, England.

Well, they were killed for this reason. The King of France wanted the wealth of the Knights Templar, but they refused to give it to him. So he persuaded the Pope who was on their side to accuse them of something that was against the Church (I forget what). The Templars were then sentenced to death, and were burned to death along with them their order.
