It is a touch difficult to understand... but I think I read sarcasm... and if that's the case, then at least any failing school system would be restructured to be successful. On that note, there was an interview done with a teacher afraid of getting a lay-off pink slip, and here is how he explained it in the interview, "My class size is currently 32 or 33 students, and is expected to reach 40 for the next school year. If you lay-off teachers, we will not have the ability to tutor a student 1 on 1..." Really? Because, when I was in school, I remember the classes being cut down to 20-25 students, so the teacher was better able to assist them... in fact, it was a 40 student capacity they were crying about! Also, the UTLA leader compared his 'theatrics' of about 50 teachers interrupting a school board meeting to protest losing teachers, to that of what Ghandi did in India...
