All set! You (-Spector-, K_A and Grav) can now choose the "Add as News" option under Thread Tools in the Science and Technology News forum. You've also been given moderation powers in that particular forum. Reign with adamantium fists!

What's the last option listed in your Thread Tools menu, when viewing a thread in the Science and Technology News forum?

Edit: It should work now. Also, please place links to the original article at the bottom of the post, or use the Slashdot approach. Only the first 1000 characters of the latest articles are displayed on the portal, so they should matter.

Edit 2: You also have the ability to post news in the News and Events forum. Use it to post general news that may be of interest.
