And technical superiority doesn't mean it's better either. The
games are the ultimate deciding factor in the value of any console. That's why the SNES was the best console of it's generation. It had the best games, hands down. 3DO, Atari Jaguar and NeoGeo were all technologically superior to the SNES, and they all flopped because the consoles didn't have the software to back up the hardware.
The case will be the same with the PSP. On the home console front, the majority of 3rd party developers are going to stick with PS2 for the simple reason that
everybody else is sticking with it. The case is reversed with the handheld market.
Nintendo has held the absolute reins of the portable market for the last 5 years, and 3rd party developers aren't going to want to risk banking their futures on a less predictable product. GBA is a surefire path to success, and letting go of certainties like that (for no real gain) is just a stupid move.
