people who whine about taming

taming has always been the best way to make money ever since uo was made. thats just how things are. a dexer wont ever be able to go up against a dragon its just impossible. a mage can still kill drags it just takes about 2 or 3 dumps of ebs. obviously you didnt play osi and played a shard that either didnt require gold for anything, gave free gold, or this is your first shard

I Agree, tamin is the way it for a reason. Its been the same (except for a few changes) for a long time and has proved to work so stop complaining

Wow... Can't believe you guys just said that. :> Before pub 16 would could make 50k in a few minutes with barding. I know a bard on Siege now who makes at least 400k a day, pays for her UO time with gold, and has the largest horde of items in the game. Taming should not be better than barding for money.

Friend and I used to kill melee on Great Lakes for money. As far as I can remember:

Liches: 80k/hour good weapons
Lich Lords: 100k/hour good weapons and regs
Air Elementals: 50k/hour (This could be done while sleeping nearly)

I remember doing Teraths, Dragons, and Balrons with magery, but I don't recall the cash.

The best money ever, however, was stealing silver vanqs in the lich lord room. We'd score a SV per hour along with several others consisting of either Silver Power or Vanq. I guess this just doesn't apply to player run shards though...

I use to farm blood elementals on the siege perilous shard, 150k a hour + weapons and armour.

I'm not sure why I sad 400k a day, because it's like 50k every 20 minutes. Gate to destard, Prov drags, by the time the last drags are proved loot, bank come back repeat.
