File sharing program?
Reply
Posted 2008-05-15, 10:51 AM
I'm curious as to what it is people "share" files with. Such as MP3's, videos, files, pictures whatever. I used to use LimeWire but I have been having issues with it lately connecting to their servers so instead of trying to fix my clientside problem i'll just change to something else and remain lazy.

Just curious. I know there are still some older popular ones like Kazaa out there, but not exactly sure what everyone uses.

I use fileshare, you have to pay for a membership though.

You can usually download music from public websites though, so it's just easy to do a little browsing when your bored.

Just so nobody gets in trouble:

The Rules said:
You may not upload copyrighted software, video, or music unless you are the copyright holder.
You may not direct or link people to places that they can find specific copyrighted materials illegally.
Nobody has done either of these yet, in my opinion, but keep it at that. I think discussion is fine, as long as nobody is informing anyone else how to do it.

Well, I'm not going to use the programs for the distribution or sharing of copyrighted materials.

*So now, you can tell me.

I think there was a bill that was passed into law recently that allows gov't or state law enforcement officials to search for copyrighted materials that were downloaded illegally. I can't remember the name of it though.

Limewire sucks these days, it never seems to want to load up anymore.
