err... Would you rather be happy when your at your job, and then mad cause when u get home u cant even eat what you want all the time cause the money isent that good, or would you rather goto work, hate it, but when you get home you have a big house, the best computer and whatever money you want....

I think your thinking , yeah ill do the job i like, but what if the job you wanna do is like 20k a year lol, How FAR back are you thinking? I think chruser means "Well if my dream job pays enough to make me live comfortably" but what if it paid very little?

Id rather be making games, or doing customer support for online games (Game masters, administrators) or shit, Public Relations! those jobs roxx =x.... But its not a matter of pay for those, those jobs are hard as hell to get...

What I'm saying is that life is a waste of time and space anyway, so why not enjoy it? Who cares if we die rich or not, as long as we have enough to live a somewhat decent life. Do you really think Bill Gates would die less happy if he lost $40 billion?

Ok yeah, there are people who can bring up gay shit like love, but id rather be rich, and doing whatever i want all day...Whoever said money cannot buy happiness is stupid as hell, Happiness dosent matter if you have money or not, theres a 50/50 chance you can be happy and not happy with or without money, changing your money wont effect happiness. There are certain things like maybe Hiking up a mountain, Yeah thats good but you cant do that unless u got the fucking cash to back that trip up, OR if you want a great wedding but u only make 20k a year, haha better get a motel and goto one of those 24/7 places. you DONT need to be rich but you DO NEED AT LEAST 60k+ a year to be happy, You think sitting in ur apartment with a leaky roof, diseises, constant shootings, smells like shit all the time HOW THE FUCK CAN U BE HAPPY, I HATE THIS DAMN THEORY THEY ALWAYS BASE IT ON UTTER CRAP OMFG... Yes you can be happy without being rich , but NO YOU CANNOT BE HAPPY BEING POOR THERES NO FUCKING way... gah fuck this its my opinon and im sticking to it

Sorry for the triple post but i dont spam much so whatever...

First of all , the rich people mostly never shard your opinons chruser, its always the people that are not rich, and when they become rich they just lost the opinons tottaly.

Wtf is happiness? It is feeling good about yourself, fine lets leave at that, feeling good about yourself and what you have done. Now lets branch out into 2 paths and look at them .

1. Guy is born into poor family, grows up, gets a wife, gets a solid job, has kids, loves his family. Family makes around 60k a year, they are always trying to balance there budget, they are sad when they cant afford to do things they love and go on vacation, husband works constantly, but loves his life because of his family. The kids grow up, Man goes into late retirement with little money, and dies early, yeah hes happy because of his family.

2. Guy is born into family pulling in 6 figure income, rakes in job as game designer for some huge company (eq, squaresoft, etc). Has no family, climbs ladder, becomes extremly famous. You type his name in google and you have 1000's of results =p. He works 6 houres a day, and just plays games, gives advice, (designs). He goes home to huge house in his porche, marrys supermodel, who loves his money, but also gets to know and love him (Thats not impossible). Hes off half the year, takes up golf, and never worrys about anything, pays others to worry. Grows old, goes into retirement with millions, helps by donating to charitys, knows he made a diffrence in the world and his name will be spoken for years to come.

Ok... Now lets compare those, 1 is about average, number 2 is like extremly lucky. Who is more happy? Lets do it like this, Count up every MINUTE each man is NOT worrying about stuff, and is enjoying himself and number 2 wins by a longshot. Did they share the SAME happiness in the end (Felt the same amount of happiness at one time or another) sure, probably, but 2 is happy alot longer then 1. 2 will be spoken about after hes dead (You can relate this to ancient rome and there view on life, they thought the more fame and money you had the more you made of your life, the more important you were, etc etc). Number 1 can say "Yeah well money does not buy happiness cause look im happy and i dont even have that much" but number 2 can say "Yeah Im as happy as number 1, but im happy all day, and i can do whatever i want".... Does money = happiness? No but money does make happiness alot easier and longer.

Uh, I'd go the I enjoy my programming job route. Sure, I could be a surgeon and make lots of money, but if I make a mistake I get sued, if someone dies during an operation I'd be asking myself what I could have done to prevent it. Too much stress, and not enough interest for me. At my job, sure there's plenty of stress, but it is tempered by the fact that I really do enjoy what I do. And so what if I don't live in the rich part of town and throw away money on a whim--I make plenty of money to get the things I really want, and my work gives me a sense of fulfillment. The more you put into something, the more you get back (as a general rule): if you put all your effort into your school work in collage, you'll get a better GPA and be better prepared for your career; if you put all your effort into your job, you'll advance in it. You'll soon get tired of expending the effort if you don't enjoy your job. Others will pass you in reputation and position. A surgeon can't really afford a reputation of being so-so.
