MJ, I'm not the best person to offer advice here. Lifting weights is good, though. The only consolation that I can offer is that... well, we all go through things like this. As Raz said, there will be more of it, but just place your faith in allmighty Karma: the belief that those who tread on you will be stood upon by shoes of an equal or greater weight to their own.
